Ann studied art at Eastbourne Art College in England when she left school.
Ann has studied drawing, oils, pastels and currently is painting mostly watercolour.
She has also traveled extensively around Europe but now resides in Noosa.
Ann believes that watercolour is the hardest and most demanding medium of all, but also the most satisfying, with it’s wonderful delicacy and natural way of making it’s own story, and finding it’s own level.
Painting takes you into another world, with peace, harmony and colour. It is extremely good for the well being of the person, to be able to paint, and to create beauty, gentleness, and at the same time to create moods, which are all around you all the time.
Figure drawing is also high on the list of Ann’s priorities, with the beauty of the male and female form coming to the fore.
Ann has taken part in exhibitions in England and New Zealand and has been an award winner in Australia in the latter years, for watercolour.
She has sold many charcoal figure drawings and watercolours in Australia, and her art covers a wide range of subjects.
